The problems we encountered during this shot was the clutter in the background. Eventhough the female character was the centre focus the background seemed unrealistic as she began to Garden, there was also the fact that she was gardening in the middle of the garden whereas the more appropriate place for gardening would be on the side.

With both these shots we encountered the same problem, this was that the framing of both shots didnt seem to match up together. The normal evryday shot in comparison to the the flashback of that particular scene did not seem to match up together. Therefore we had to re-shoot once more, trying to capture the right frame in order for an effective flashback.

We felt we had to re-shoot this scene because the zooming in of the window was seen to be not natural to the eye, therefore we had to re-shoot by trying to avoid the zooming in shot.

Testing Shots

For out testing shots we used me as a way of seeing if the scenes we had planned worked. We needed too see a rough idea of our story bored.
We got the testing shot done before the synoptic day, so we were able to get the final shots done on that day.
By doing the testing shots we could see what techniques we had to use and we got a good idea of our location. We also knew what props we had to bring in for synoptic day. From the testing shots we could see that many of the shot we had planned did not work and therefore which ones we had to change.

house test shot

we wanted to see what this shot will look like, when we zoom in, whether it will be successful. we had some problems with the camera being unstable, it ended up being very shaky. also we need to change the location as there was a lot of cars passing by. In our filming we will use the bungalow instead.

Mirror Test Shot

We wanted to check if it was possible to film a character looking into a mirror. We thought it might be difficult to avoid having the camera in the shot. This didn't happen on the test shot but we were using a big mirror with a lot of space to position the camera. We'll probably have a smaller mirror so will need to use a tighter shot - a close-up not a mid-shot.

Testing shots

Our group started our testing shots on Thursday, we encountered a few problems before hand as the the setting in which we wanted to film was unavailable therefore we had to try and film other shots in order to make use of our time.
