Shameelah Iqbal: Question 5

5.How did you attract/address your audience?
I think the main way in which we tried to engage and address our audience was by using a variety of shots. In the begining of our opening we did a panning shot of the diffrent objects on the shelf then went to a closeup of the police certificate to suggest a link between that and the daughter. We also didn't emphasise on the certificate to leave the audience intrigued. The tracking shot was done for a similar purpose as we included it to try and create a sense of suspense
and wonder, these shots were constantly flashed back with the mother walking suggesting a link in the narrative. And lastly the mirror shot towards the end gave an accurate portrayal of a hidden identity of some sort we tried to portray this in the form of the mother looking into the mirror looking at possibly her alter ego.

I also think that another key aspect of our thriller was the music we chose, i feel as though the eerie music helped create a mood and atmosphere intriging the audience further. We also fel that the music kind of took you an a journey for e.g. when the music when deep the audience would feel as though something was abou to happen. this was drawn from my product re-search which i based on phone booth
